Monday's Reading: Matthew 23

I think Jesus' words in verses 25-28 sum up how I feel about the church many times. We try to be so strong and clean on the outside, but inside we are weak and full of self-indulgence. Don't you think the church should be made up of inperfect people who are struggling together on an amazing journey of understanding God? I think God want's us to be honest with each other. We shouldn't hide our imperfections - we should bring them into the light. That's the path of living righteous.l It's a tough path though. We like to judge others imperfections and cast them away. Jesus called that ignoring the 2X4 in our eye while we make fun of the spec of dust in our brother's eye. Hmmm ....
