Tuesday's Reading: Romans 11

Does this sound like the church in America today?
“Let their bountiful table become a snare, a trap that makes them think all is well. Let their blessings cause them to stumble, and let them get what they deserve. Let their eyes go blind so they cannot see, and let their backs be bent forever.”

I couldn't help but read this and wonder if Paul was inspired to think about our church. Our culture. I believe in our comfort, our need for God is completely lost. Our blessings are also our stumbling blocks. Our green grass is more like our doom. We need the Lord more than we need air to breathe and water to drink!! All we want is the fast-food version of Him instead of the gourmet perfection.

"How impossible it is for us to understand hi decisions and his methods!" (v33)
